Around Corris – 28 June 2015

28 June, 2015, Slaters Arms Pub, 3:00PM-6:00PM

Angelica Clark is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She will be starting her senior year at Cazenovia College in August, studying a BFA in Studio Art. As a 3D artist, Angelica works with wire and glass and printmaking, focusing on woodblocks. Her work is mostly of her family, friends and experiences. At this stage in her career she is more interested in learning about the process rather than the outcome. Whilst in Corris, Angelica became fascinated by the slate fences and completed a series of woodcuts titled ‘Around Corris’ made from fences she has seen while walking around Corris.
Angelica is completing an intern at Stiwdio Maelor. She has worked on her prints for the exhibition at Aberystwyth Printmakers with the guidance of Veronica Calarco (co-director of Aberystwyth Printmakers). Her exhibition is to open on her last day in Corris. Kim Waale (who completed an Artist in residence at Stiwdio Maelor in 2014 and is Angelica’s professor at Cazenovia College) will open the exhibition.
