Lyn was born in England and educated there but has lived in Australia most of her life. She is currently based in based in Budapest, Hungary where she works on. her writing and teaches English as a second language.

Lyn is a journalist, editor, public affairs practitioner and author and has written for daily newspapers, business and lifestyle magazines on a range of topics from well known personality profiles to political, business and economic stories. She is currently working on a follow up to her 2011 book, Where To Go For a Seven-Year Cycle, looking at her personal experiences over the years since the book was published.
