In the summer of 2021, having studied a BA in illustration and animation. Her current practice focuses on themes of identity, escapism, and nature. She is enthusiastic about pushing boundaries of mixed media, expressive mark making, and colour. The key elements of her distinct approach are maximalism, layering, and movement. 

During her degree at Kingston, Maha completed an Erasmus study abroad programme in which she studied at the HKU in Utrecht, and interned at reanimation studio in Amsterdam. She is now hoping to explore residencies and wider independent learning/teaching routes. 

Maha will hopefully visit Maelor in person in future to gain some experience working there, to see how a residency is run first-hand.
