Pam Thompson is a writer and teacher living in rural Massachusetts. She is the author of the novel Every Past Thing, about an artist and his wife in turn-of-the-20th-century New York City and Massachusetts. She directs a program in Holyoke, Massachusetts, that brings free college classes to women who’ve had their educations interrupted — by poverty, parenting, violence, abuse, dislocation. In both her teaching and her own work, she’s been interested of late in handmade journals and connections between stitching and writing. At Stiwdio Maelor, she will be working on a journal and a novel-in-progress called Wednesday Whale.
